Classes: Morning.
Days Part Time: 1000 Hours (40 Weeks) Tuesday & Thursday (9 am-3:15 pm).
Days Full Time: 1000 Hours (27 Weeks) Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (9 am-3:15 pm).

The curriculum for students enrolled in the cosmetology course shall consist of fifteen hundred or one thousand clock hours (HYBRID 50% Technical Online and 50% Clinical In-Class in School) format.
The technical instruction and practical training cover all practices constituting the art of cosmetology according to Section 7316 of the Barbering and Cosmetology Act. Technical instruction means instruction by demonstration, lecture, classroom participation, or examination. Practical operation means actual performance by the student of a complete service on another person or mannequin.
All students are required to pass their final examination in school with a grade of not less than 85%. Technical instruction and practical operations shall include the subjects outlined below.

MINIMUM PRACTICAL OPERATIONS REQUIREMENTS

Shall include the Board of Barbering & Cosmetology Act and the Program’s Rules & Regulations.
Cosmetology Chemistry 20
Shall include the chemical composition and the purpose of cosmetic, nail, hair, and skin care preparations. Shall also include elementary chemical makeup, chemical skin peels, and physical and chemical changes of matter.
Health and Safety/Hazardous Substances 25
Shall include training in chemicals and health in establishments, material safety, data sheets, protection from hazardous chemicals and preventing chemical injuries, health and safety laws and agencies, ergonomics, and communicable diseases, including HIV/AIDS & Hepatitis B.
Theory of Electricity 05
Shall include the nature of electrical current, principles of operating electrical devices, and the various safety precautions used when operating electrical equipment.
Disinfecting and Sanitation 25
Shall include procedures to protect the health and safety of the consumer as well as the Technician.
Anatomy and Physiology 15
Wet Hairstyling 45
Shall include hair analysis, shampooing, finger waving, pin curling, and comb-outs.
Thermal Hairstyling 20
Shall include hair analysis, straightening, waving, curling with hot combs, hot curling iron styling, and blow dry styling.
Permanent Waving 20
Shall include hair analysis, chemical, and heat permanent waving.
Chemical Straightening 20
Shall include hair analysis and the use of sodium hydroxide and other base solutions.
Haircutting 20
Shall include hair analysis and the use of a razor, scissors, electric clippers, and thinning shear for wet and dry cutting.
Hair Coloring and Bleaching 60
Shall include hair analysis, predisposition and strand tests, safety precautions, formula mixing, tinting, bleaching, highlights and lowlights, and the use of dye removers.
Scalp and Hair Treatments 05
Shall include hair and scalp analysis, scientific brushing, electric and manual scalp manipulation, and other hair treatments.

Shall include skin analysis, cleansing, scientific manipulations, packs, and masks.
B. Electrical
Shall include the use of all electrical modalities and electrical apparatus, including dermal lights
for facials and skin purposes
C. Chemical
Shall include the use of peels, packs, scrubs, and masks.
Eyebrow Arching and Hair Removal 10
Shall include the use of wax, tweezers, electric or manual, and depilatories for the removal of superfluous hair.
Makeup 15
Shall include skin analysis, complete and corrective makeup, lash and brow tinting, and the application of false eyelashes.
