Do I need a high school diploma or GED?
Yes. All applicants must have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent. A valid government-issued ID is also required. There is no age limit — if you have the credential, you can enroll.
Is there an application deadline?
No. ICBAS operates on open enrollment. You can apply and start a program at any time — there are no semester deadlines and no waitlists.
What does "hybrid format" mean?
Every ICBAS program is split into two halves: 50% of your theory coursework is completed online, and 50% of your training is completed in person in our professional salon. Same clock hours, hybrid format.
What programs do you offer?
Cosmetology (1,000 hours), Barbering (1,000 hours), Esthetician (600 hours), Manicuring (600 hours), and Hairstyling (600 hours). All programs are NACCAS-accredited and qualify for federal financial aid, if you qualify.
How much does it cost?
Program costs vary from $12,590.15 for Manicuring to $16,790.15 for Barbering. Federal financial aid — including Pell Grants that don't need repayment — is available for qualified students.
What financial aid is available?
ICBAS is approved for federal Title IV financial aid. That includes Pell Grants (free money — no repayment), Federal Direct Loans, and PLUS Loans for parents. We also offer installment plans.
What if I don't qualify for financial aid?
If you don't qualify for federal aid, ICBAS offers installment payment plans. Our admissions and financial aid team will walk you through every option — there's always a path.
Can I tour the campus before I apply?
Absolutely. Campus tours are available Monday - Friday. Come see the school, meet instructors, and walk the salon floor. You can also schedule a virtual tour.
Is ICBAS accredited?
Yes. ICBAS is nationally accredited by NACCAS (National Accrediting Commission of Career Arts & Sciences) and approved by the California BPPE (Bureau for Private Postsecondary Education).
