The Manicuring Program consists of 600 clock hours of technical instruction and practical operations covering manicuring practices in accordance with state requirements. This program is delivered through a hybrid format: 50% online theory and 50% hands-on, on-campus training.
What You'll Learn
Technical instruction includes demonstration, lecture, classroom participation, and evaluation. Practical operations include the performance of services on clients under instructor supervision and are completed on campus in a professional training environment.
Manicures, Pedicures & Client Care
Water and oil manicures. Complete pedicures with foot and ankle massage. Hand and arm massage. Electric nail file techniques. Nail design. Client consultation and nail analysis.
Artificial Nails & Advanced Techniques
Acrylic application — liquid and powder, brush-on, full sets, white tips, and advanced acrylic techniques. Nail tips. Nail wraps and repairs. Gel nails. 380 minimum practical operations.
Reflexology & Wellness
Reflexology techniques and foot massage — a specialized skill that adds value to every pedicure service and opens the door to wellness-focused clientele.
Safety, Science & Professionalism
Nail diseases, disorders, and podiatry awareness. Bacteriology, anatomy, and physiology. Disinfection and sanitation protocols. California laws, licensing, communication skills, and career development.

Program Policies & Outcomes
Outcome
Graduates receive a Certificate of Completion and Proof of Training (POT) to apply for the California State Board licensing exam.
Student Requirements
Students are required to complete all program hours and pass a final examination with a minimum score of 85% in accordance with institutional standards.
